are some unique and trying times that we are all going through right
now. Hopefully you are all hunkered down and staying safe and healthy.
at Chimney Creek Farm, what we do as farmers has never felt more
important. We have been asked by a few folks if we still plan to farm
this year and if we will be continuing our CSA veggie box program
through these uncertain times.
The answer is a strong and resounding yes! And
honestly, I can't think of anything more important for us to be doing.
As farmers, we owe that to ourselves and to our CSA farm members. For
over 10 years you have counted on us and we have counted on you. This
crisis only strengthens that bond.
we are charging full speed ahead with the 2020 CSA veggie box season.
We have developed a full action plan to deal with the situation. Most
of it is behind the scenes and deals with extra cleanliness and worker
health. The most apparent outward change will be for our farm pickup
members who will now get their veggies via a drive-through service here
on the farm. This is for your health/safety and ours.
are holding our prices the same again this year because we realize our
farm members need economic stability, now more than ever. And thank
goodness we have always offered delivery right to your home. This,
along with our use of paper grocery bags for your share, fits right in
with the new sanitation and social distancing standards to fight the

control over their food security. Interest in home canning and
preserving, home gardening, cooking from scratch, and involving kids in
the kitchen. We are gauging the interest and will be developing some
free online content to share with you soon.
